Account Deletion Request

This page explains how users of the Arinda membership platform mobile application may request deletion of their account and associated personal data. Btor Oy and/or the owner of the membership venue handles requests submitted through this page. You may use this page even if you no longer have the app installed or cannot access your device.

How to request deletion

Request deletion by email

To request deletion of your account or account data from the Membership platform, send an email to dpo@btor.fi.

Please send the request from the email address associated with your membership account when possible, and include enough information for us to identify your account, such as your full name and the organization or venue connected to your membership.

To protect your privacy, we may request reasonable additional information to verify that the request has been made by the account holder or by a person authorized to act on the account holder's behalf.

This web-based deletion request process is available even if you no longer have access to the app or do not have it installed.

What happens when you request deletion

Once we have verified the request and located the relevant account, we delete the account from our active systems and delete or anonymize personal data associated with that account, except to the extent that limited retention is required or permitted by law or is necessary for security, fraud prevention, audit logging, or financial record-keeping where applicable.

Data deleted

Your Arinda user account is deleted from active systems.
Personal data associated with your profile is deleted or anonymized, as applicable.
Stored preferences and settings linked to your account are deleted.
Identifiers associated with your account are deleted or rendered unusable.
Usage data linked to your account is deleted or anonymized where this is reasonably possible.

Data we may retain temporarily

Records that must be retained to comply with legal or regulatory obligations.
Transactional, billing, or accounting records, where applicable.
Security logs and records relevant to fraud prevention, abuse prevention, or incident investigation.
Backup copies that still contain account data until those backups are overwritten or securely deleted in the normal backup cycle.

Retention periods

Deletion is processed after we verify the request and identify the relevant account.
Request correspondence and verification information are retained only for as long as necessary to process and document the request, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Backup copies are retained only until they are overwritten or securely deleted through the normal backup cycle.
Records that must be retained by law, including accounting or similar records where applicable, are kept for the retention period required under applicable EU and Finnish law.
After the applicable retention period ends, retained data is deleted or anonymized as appropriate.
